Established in 2001 by the Government of Chhattisgarh, the Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) has emerged as a leading medical college and hospital in Central India. Located in Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh, our institution is dedicated to providing world-class medical education, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive healthcare services to the community.

With a sprawling campus spanning over 50 acres, CIMS houses state-of-the-art infrastructure including modern lecture halls, advanced laboratories, a fully-equipped 850-bed teaching hospital, and residential complexes for students and staff. CIMS is affiliated to Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Academic Programs

CIMS offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. Our curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with extensive clinical exposure.

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery)

A 5.5-year program (including internship) with an annual intake of 150 students. The course covers pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects with hands-on training at our teaching hospital. Admission is through NEET-UG as per NMC guidelines.

Postgraduate (MD/MS)

3-year residency programs in 15+ specialties including General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Radiology, and Anesthesiology. Admission via NEET-PG. Our PG program emphasizes research and subspecialty training.

Hostels & Accommodation

Separate hostels for male and female students with single/double occupancy rooms, 24/7 security, Wi‑Fi, common rooms, gyms, and dining facilities. Residential quarters for faculty and staff are also available on campus.

A multipurpose stadium, indoor stadium for badminton and table tennis, swimming pool, gymnasium, and yoga center. Regular inter‑college tournaments and wellness programs are organized.

Teaching Hospital & Clinical Skills Lab

The 850‑bed CIMS Hospital is the core clinical training site. It includes:

Emergency & Trauma Center: 50 beds, triage system, and dedicated trauma bays.
Operation Theaters: 12 modular OTs with laminar flow and advanced anesthesia workstations.
ICUs: Medical, surgical, cardiac, neonatal, and pediatric ICUs with ventilators and monitors.
Clinical Skills Lab: Simulation‑based training with manikins, virtual reality setups, and OSCE stations.
Pharmacy: 24‑hour inpatient and outpatient pharmacy with generic medicines.

The hospital handles a wide spectrum of cases from routine outpatient care to complex surgeries, providing students with comprehensive clinical exposure.
